The Adventurers meet the 2nd Sunday of each month immediately following morning worship service in the Overflow area.

Any member of the church is welcome to join the Adventurers.

Altar Guild

The goal of the Altar Guild is to be of service to the church by preparing the sanctuary for Sunday and special worship services.

The goal of the Altar Guild is to be of service to the church by preparing the sanctuary for Sunday and special worship services.

Additional support is provided by training the Acolytes, and supporting the pastor in the purchase, cleaning and caring for the robes.

The Altar Guild meets the 3rd Sunday of each month immediately following morning worship service.

Any member of the church is welcome to join the Guild.  Youth between the ages of 7-13 may become an Acolyte.

A yearly Bazaar (fundraiser) is held in November to fund the activities of the Guild.

Esther Circle

The mission of the Esther Circle is to strengthen our faith through bible study and prayer, to comfort and encourage our shut-in members and bereaved families throughout the year with cards, calls and tokens of our love, to support the community through our food pantry, and promote the William G. Gillespie Scholarship Fund.

The mission of the Esther Circle is to strengthen our faith through bible study and prayer, to comfort and encourage our shut-in members and bereaved families throughout the year with cards, calls and tokens of our love, to support the community through our food pantry, and promote the William G. Gillespie Scholarship Fund.

Every other year a retreat is held with emphasis on Bible study.

The Esther Circle meetings are held the second Saturday of each month at 1 pm with the exception of July, August and December.  Membership is open to all women in the church, and new members are always welcome to join.

Fundraisers generate income to provide support to children with school supplies, Easter celebrations, Santa Workshop, and Trunk or Treat.  Also contributions are made to other ministries such as the Community Outreach Program and William G. Gillespie Scholarship Fund.

The Pilots is the oldest service organization of the church. The mission is to provide Christian fellowship for church members while leading the way in providing assistance to those in need and to provide, support, care and concern to members who may be having life issues.

The Pilots is the oldest service organization of the church. The mission is to provide Christian fellowship for church members while leading the way in providing assistance to those in need and to provide, support, care and concern to members who may be having life issues.

Fund-raising activities (annual Jazz Concert and “Afternoon on the Town Luncheon”) provide fellowship and support the William G. Gillespie Scholarship Fund, Youth Fellowship and other church activities as needed.

The Pilots meet on the 2nd Sunday after worship service.  New members are encouraged.

Vocal Music

Chancel Choir:

The chancel choir ministers during the morning worship service with traditional hymns, spirituals and worship music.  Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings 6:00-7:30 p.m. (Spring), 5:00-6:30 p.m. (Fall).  Professor Dwayne Buggs is the director

Gospel Choir:

The Gospel Choir ministers during the morning worship service with traditional gospel and contemporary gospel music.  An annual concert is presented Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  Colonel Everett Page directs the choir accompanied by Ms. Carla Drake.

Youth Choir:

The Youth Choir is directed by Ms. Carla Drake and meets on Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

Male Chorus:

The male chorus is directed by Professor Dwayne Buggs and rehearses on Wednesday at 7:30-9:00 p.m. and selected Saturdays.

Cote Brilliante membership is not required to participate in the music ministries.
